This Holiday season, our family is saddened to announce that The Grinch stole a very important gift.

James Alberta was the proud father of Rebeka Valois (Michael), Alexis and Brody Binda. He was a wonderful Paw to Leigha Valois and Liam Rhodes. He was the admired son of the late Dian and survived by his father Roger Wheeler. He was the wonderful brother of Susan (Mikey), Christopher and an adored uncle to Michael, Breanna & Alyssa Carpinteiro. He will be especially missed by his loyal companion Dragon. He will be remembered by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loved ones.

Jim spent his life in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He valued his family, friends, happiness, and music above all else. You could have known him for a day or a decade and you would still be considered a friend. He was a joy to all those he met, and he always made sure to give everything he could to ensure all of his loved ones, both family and friends, could thrive. He was the kind of guy you would go to an event with, have the night of your life and when the night was over and done, he would always return home and embrace his family with a hug that held a million emotions. He had an incredible work ethic and put his all into each and every job he worked on. You could always find him out and about sporting his Pittsburgh hat, his “shades” and a pair of fresh new shoes because we all know how much Jimmy loved his shoes. He loved passionately and his love and laughter will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family the Grinch left behind.

“So if I could I’d wish it all away,

If I thought tomorrow would take you away.

You’re my peace of mind, my home, my center,

I'm just trying to hold on, one more day.” - TOOL
