RIVERSIDE DRIVE

This house was built in the 1950’s and added to in 1973. It was a place where children played freely, and the value of hard work was learned.

The door was always open. Everyone was welcomed with open arms. There was a birth here, marriages celebrated, loved ones mourned, and some raucous dance parties back in the day.

If you stopped by, you were offered a “cold one” or a butter tart. The Sunday suppers, served at 4 o’clock sharp, filled our bellies and our souls.

No one would say it was a quiet house. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you close your eyes you can hear that rocking chair and a faint whistle……..goodnight Irene
