Peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family on Monday, August 30, 2004 in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Freda. Father of Betty Lou Tanner (Roy), Joseph Aikens, Frederica McBride (Craig), Rosemarie Chamberlin, Wilfred Aikens (Gloria), Adele Hawdon (Gerald), the late Julie Aikens, the late Joan Aikens, John Aikens, Jamie Lee Aikens, Shairl Acquin, Blake Aikens (Janet) and Lesa Guenette (Tim). Grandfather of 32 and great grandfather of many. Son of the late Joesph and Adelia Aikens. Brother of the late Tommy Aikens, the late Joseph Aikens and the late Azilda Herberts. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
