Canada's Morales Williams wins men's 400 metres at NCAA track and field championships

EUGENE — Christopher Morales Williams continued his winning ways at the NCAA track and field championships.

The 19-year-old from Vaughan, Ont., won the men's 400-metre race on Friday in 44.47 seconds.

Morales Williams, a sophomore running for Georgia, beat Alabama's Samuel Ogazi and Florida's JeVaughn Powell.

Morales Williams already owns the Canadian record in the 400 metres.

He won the 400 at the Southeastern Conference outdoor championships in 44.05 seconds on May 11.
