NEW YORK — Vegas Golden Knights centre Jonathan Marchessault, Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and Washington Capitals left-wing Alex Ovechkin have been named the NHL's three stars of the week.
Marchessault registered a goal and two assists in all three of the Golden Knights' games last week as expansion Vegas extended its winning streak to five games and moved into top spot in the Pacific Division standings.
Bobrovsky went 3-0-0 with a 1.32 goals-against average, .950 save percentage and one shutout to help the Blue Jackets extend their winning streak to six games.
Ovechkin paced the NHL with five goals in four games, including his 20th career hat trick in a 4-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
