A Sault realtor has stepped up to help a local retirement home provide some extras for its residents.
Kyle Scali, Century 21 realtor, presented a cheque for $1,000 to Pathways Retirement Residence Wednesday to support the cost of programming for the seniors who call Pathways home.
Joining Scali at the cheque presentation were Pathways residents Don and Linda White.
Scali had sold their home, the thousand dollars donated being a part of Scali’s sales commission.
“It feels good to be able to give back to the community. The community’s treated me very well and any time I get a chance to give back I do,” Scali said.
The money will go toward Pathways residents’ parties, entertainment, supplies, outings and their upcoming Christmas party said James Noble, Pathways Retirement Residence general manager.
“This is not an everyday occurrence at all. We’re honoured Kyle would do this for us. We’re very appreciative and this helps our seniors. It’s my passion to have everyone here happy and enjoying their golden years,” Noble told SooToday.
