This workshop will cover the basics of vegetable gardening; whether you have or want to start an indoor or outdoor garden. We will provide supplies to try and get hands-on experience seeding and planting. As well as provide physical and digital resources for you to better grasp the material and continue to learn after the workshop.

The first session will cover what to plant, as in what will grow in this area, where to plant, where to start your garden and the space available. Also, what soil you need for your garden if you are using your own soil or that purchased from a store. We will also cover fertilizer, compost and mulch.

The second session will cover container gardening; this is for the indoor gardener but also those with not a lot of outdoor space. Raised bed and traditional gardening. Also, how to start and plant your seeds.

The third session will look at maintaining your garden and taking care of it as it grows; watering, weeding, special care and gradual harvest. The fourth session will discuss harvesting your crops and preparing your garden for the winter and next season. We will also look at preserving your seeds, flowers, herbs and veggies.
