On Saturday, May 7, Ford of Canada dealerships, including Sault Ste. Marie’s own Maitland Ford, will be hosting the innovative Drive 4UR School program in an effort to raise funds for Free The Children.
For every person* who test drives a Ford vehicle at St. Mary’s French Immersion Catholic School (124 Gibb Street) in Sault Ste. Marie between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Ford of Canada will donate $20 towards building a health clinic in Kenya – a Free The Children cause selected by students at St. Mary’s.
“The Drive 4UR School program is a great chance to give back to our community and we’re excited to participate in this special day with Ford dealerships across the country,” said Judith Kovala, dealership operations, Maitland Ford. “It’s inspiring to see the commitment the students of St. Mary’s French Immersion Catholic School have as they support Free The Children and take action on local and global issues they’re passionate about.”
Ford of Canada and its dealerships have been supporting local communities with the Drive 4UR program since 2010, generating more than $6 million in donations for schools and charities across Canada.
This year, Ford of Canada teamed up with Free The Children to create a National Drive 4UR Day to help youth drive positive change in their communities from coast-to-coast.
