News Release from May 19

This year, Her Majesty the Queen and Canadians are celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th year on the throne. Her Platinum Jubilee is being celebrated in many ways including through the production of a limited-edition commemorative pin, and locally a certificate of recognition for leadership and service.

To mark this milestone in Her Majesty’s reign, Terry Sheehan will be recognizing exceptional community leaders in the riding of Sault Ste. Marie.

If you know someone who has made a significant contribution through their work, volunteerism, activism, or community leadership, please consider nominating them for this once-in-a-lifetime exceptional recognition.

Applications are due May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EST. No late submissions will be accepted.

Nominees must be residents of the riding of Sault Ste. Marie, must have made a meaningful and significant contribution to the community, not be nominating yourself, and someone who has made a significant positive impact in the community by way of work or volunteering in but not limited to the arts, science, innovation, community service, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, sports, diversity, equity and inclusion, and others.

Please nominate individuals through the link posted in MP Sheehan’s social media bios, at terrysheehan.libparl.ca, or through this link.
