Common Threads is a free event for local artists to display and demonstrate a variety of hand-made arts and crafts.

Participants will learn about alpaca fibers for knitting, see first hand how to knit, crochet, embroider, rug hook, and how to spin wool on a spinning wheel; there will also be demonstrations with glass buttons and textiles.

Demonstrators will show visitors how the craft is completed and will be available to answer questions.

Some art and craft pieces will also be available for purchase.

A free children’s craft activity will also be available to include young participants.

Common Threads will be held at the Station Mall on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
