The Buck-a-Tire campaign returns this year and OK Tire is excited to help another local and worthy cause. This winter season, OK Tire will donate one dollar for every tire sold in November to S.O.Y.A. (Save Our Young Adults) located in Sault Ste. Marie.

S.O.Y.A. is a not-for-profit organization that has been helping the community for over a decade. From assisting people in the community with clothing, personnel hygiene and household items, substance abuse supports to holiday meals for hundreds, this organization is an important part of our community.

We are so proud to have raised over $14,000 since we started Buck-a-Tire a few years ago” says Frank Bitonti, manager of OK Tire. “We want to keep the momentum and keep giving back to our community."

S.O.Y.A. assists over 200 people weekly and over 2000 people get to detox and treatments. They also assist seniors with food insecurity. You will see them delivering meals every Saturday. “We assist everyone, no judgement, everyone needs a helping hand at times”, says S.O.Y.A president, Connie Raynor Elliott. “We appreciate this amazing donation to help S.O.Y.A continue helping our community.”

“We can’t wait to help S.O.Y.A”, says Michael Bitonti, manager at OK Tire. “They give to our community, all with no Government funding and rely on volunteers and placement students.”
