Bos elected as AMCO Treasurer

NORTH BAY – During the 31st Annual General Meeting of the Airport Management Council of Ontario (AMCO), members of the association elected a very skilled and committed Executive level of the Board of Directors to represent the industry and airports across Ontario.

Returning to serve and provide essential experience and knowledge on AMCO’s Board of Directors are:

1. Mike Karsseboom, CD, AAE, from the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, who has been elected to the position of President;
2. Duane Riddell, from the Red Lake Municipal Airport, who has been elected as Vice President;
3. Terry Bos, AAE, from the Sault Ste. Marie Airport, who has been elected to the position of Treasurer;
4. outgoing President, Stephen Wilcox, CM, from the Oshawa Executive Airport, who will move into the role of Past President

Mike Karsseboom, CD, AAE, brings over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry to the Board of Directors and is the General Manager of Airport Operations at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

He currently sits on the boards of the Bird Strike Association of Canada, is a member of the Board of Examiners of IAAE Canada, and represents the Canadian Airports Council on the Nav Canada Advisory Committee.

Duane Riddell, a licensed commercial pilot with over 33 years of aviation experience in North Western Ontario, currently manages the Red Lake Municipal Airport.

Duane is an active member in his community sitting on several volunteer boards and notably chairs the Norseman Festival Committee which is dedicated to the preservation of aviation heritage in the region.

Terry Bos, AAE, President and CEO, Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation, has been on the Board of Directors for AMCO since 2010 and is moving from the position of Past President.

He currently serves on the Board of the IAAE Canada, as well as chairing the IAAE Accreditation Committion, and has been with the Sault Ste. Marie Airport since 1999.
