Wolves capitalize on man advantage in win over Greyhounds

A five-goal third period was ultimately the difference.

The Soo Greyhounds dropped their second straight game in Ontario Hockey League pre-season play on Friday night, falling by a 9-4 score to the Sudbury Wolves in Sudbury.

In addition to scoring five times in the third, the Wolves went 4-for 7 on the man advantage in the victory, which also saw them score four times in the middle stanza.

Brady Martin led the Greyhounds offensively with a goal and an assist in the loss.

Justin DeZoete, Erik Muxlow, and Carson Andrew also scored for the Greyhounds.

Goaltender Reid Thomas made 33 saves while going the distance in goal for the Sault.

Chase Coughlan paced the Wolves offensively with a goal and four assists.

Sault product Hudson Chitaroni chipped in with a goal and three assists while Lucas DiGiantommaso had a pair of goals.

Blake Clayton had a goal and two assists for Sudbury and Nick DeAngelis also had a multi-point night with one of each.

Ethan Dean, Tayjon Street, and Rowan Henderson also scored for the Wolves.

Wolves goaltender Nate Krawchuk stopped 11 of 15 shots in the victory.
