U-13 Civics take second tournament of the season

Anchored by strong defense and timely offense, the U-13 Seamless Eavestroff Girls Civics went undefeated in four games to win the Cambridge Heritage Tournament this past weekend in Cambridge.

Anchored by strong defense and timely offense, the U-13 Seamless Eavestroff Girls Civics went undefeated in four games to win the Cambridge Heritage Tournament this past weekend in Cambridge.

In the first game, the Civics played to a 0-0 tie with Cambridge United Storm and in game two, posted a 3-0 victory over the Ancaster Titans.

In the semi-final, match the Civics overwhelmed the Guelph Royals 7-1 and went on to defeat Cambridge United Storm 1-0 in the final.

Over the four games the Civics scored 11 goals and gave up only one.

This latest win is the Civics second straight tournament win this season having previously won the Lake Superior Cup.

Their next tournament is July 22, 23 in Thunder Bay.
