The Soo Thunder saw their season come to an end on Thursday morning at the All-Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey Championships in Mississauga.
After cruising to a Northern Ontario Bantam Hockey League regular season and playoff championship, the Thunder struggled at the provincial championships and left without a win in six games.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Thunder dropped a 4-3 decision to the host Mississauga IceDogs as Brett Thompson and Drew MacMillan scored once and set up another each while Micky Sartoretto added the other goal.
To close the round robin on Thursday morning, the Thunder fell 5-3 to the Toronto Marlboros. Thompson scored pair of goals with Dereck Hurley picking up the other.
