Brad Jacobs remains unbeaten through two days at the Northern Ontario Curling Association provincial playdowns locally.
After picking up a win on opening day Thursday, the Jacobs rink won a pair of games on Friday at the four-day event being held at the Community First Curling Centre locally.
The Jacobs rink, which includes E.J. Harnden at third, Jordan Chandler at second and Ryan Harnden at lead, opened the day with a 9-1 win in eight ends over Trevor Bonot of the Fort William Curling Club in the morning draw.
With the hammer to start, Jacobs blanked the opening two ends before scoring three in the third to take the lead.
The Sault-based rink pulled ahead further with a steal of two in the fourth and one more in the fifth to pull ahead 6-0.
Bonot blanked the sixth end before scoring a single in the seventh.
Jacobs sealed the win with three more in the eighth end to move to 2-0.
The Jacobs rink wrapped up the day with an 8-1 win in five ends over Dylan Johnston of the Fort Frances Curling Club.
With the hammer in the first end, Jacobs scored a pair before stealing one more in the second end to take a 3-0 lead.
Johnston got on the board with a single in the third end before Jacobs sealed the win with a pair in the fourth and a steal of three more in the fifth.
Jacobs is set to wrap up round robin action on Saturday with a pair of games.
Chris Glibota, also of the Community First Curling Centre, is also competing in the event.
The Glibota rink, which includes third Dan Mick, second Matt Mann, and lead Marc Barrette, sits at 0-3 following a pair of losses on Friday.
Team Jacobs will face Glibota in the morning draw before concluding round robin action against Sandy MacEwan of Curl Sudbury in the afternoon draw.

The Jacobs rink is playing the event minus usual third Marc Kennedy, who is currently in Beijing with Team Brad Gushue representing Canada at the Winter Olympics.
With Kennedy away, E.J. Harnden moved into his role while Chandler, from Manitoulin Island, joined the team to fill out the roster.
