A quick lead early on helped the Superior Heights Steelhawks jump out to a 1-0 record and the junior high school football season opened on Saturday at Superior Heights.
The third of three games on the day, the Steelhawks took early lead en route to a win over the White Pines Wolverines.
The Steelhawks led 21-0 through one quarter cruised to victory.

White Pines is back in action on Thursday night against Korah in a 6 p.m. kickoff at Superior Heights while the Steelhawks will return to action on Friday against St. Mary’s at 4:45 p.m. in the first game of a junior/senior doubleheader between the two schools at Superior Heights.
In other junior action on Saturday, Korah beat St. Mary’s 37-20 while Saturday’s senior game saw the Colts beat the Knights 29-14.
