A pair of games were on the high school hockey schedule on Sunday night.
The second game of the night saw Ryan Guindon emerge as the hero for the Superior Heights Steelhawks in a win over the Korah Colts.
Guindon converted a nice pass from Mark Keenan and beat Korah goaltender Sean Zago to give the Steelhawks a 2-1 win over the Colts.
The teams traded power play goals in the second period to set the stage for overtime.
Evan Johnson had the other goal for Superior Heights while Kyle Birch scored for Korah.
In Sunday’s other game, Ethan Novello had a pair of goals as St. Mary’s blanked CASS 6-0.
Josh Mannarino had a goal and two assists for St. Mary’s.
Colby Arbour, Nathan Rowe, and Caden Caputo also scored for the Knights.
Theo Smith assisted on a pair of St. Mary’s goals.
The Knights and Colts return to action on Wednesday as the two schools meet in a 3:30 p.m. start at the John Rhodes Community Centre.
CASS and Superior Heights are back in action on Friday night in a 7:30 p.m. puck drop, also at the John Rhodes.
