The Sault College Cougars are excited to announce that starting in the 2019-2020 season, our women’s hockey program will be playing in the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association (CCWHA) Division II in the ACHA. The Cougars will be playing against notable Colleges and Universities which include:

Michigan State University, Loyola University, Central  Michigan University, Northern Michigan University, Adrian College and the University of Notre Dame.

We are currently working towards bringing these Universities to the Sault for home and home series.

“Admission into the CCWHA is a fantastic first step for women’s hockey program at Sault College and will give our athletes exposure to some of biggest and most renowned Universities in the United States.  We have seen the tremendous success and impact our men’s program has had in the ACHA and we look to follow their lead with a thriving women’s hockey program.” – Paul Orazietti, manager of athletics

Sault College Cougars to play outdoor soccer

Sault College Cougars are excited to announce our inaugural year of outdoor soccer in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA).

This expansion to outdoor soccer is aligned with our vision to grow our Athletics programs and enrolment through sport. We look forward to welcoming Centennial, Durham, Loyalist, and Fleming Colleges to Sault Ste. Marie as we host four home games in 2019 throughout the months of September and October.

Along with four home games the Cougars will be taking to the road to play five away games in fall.

“The expansion of soccer from indoor to outdoor soccer at Sault College signals a new era in Cougar athletics and will allow our school and community to further showcase the exceptional soccer culture that exists in the Sault. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to see these programs get off the ground and succeed at the college level.” – Paul Orazietti, manager of athletics
