With skiers from across the province in attendance, it was a strong event for the Searchmont Ski Runners at the recently completed Mealey Classic, held at Searchmont.
The four-day event saw a number of area skiers show well in Super G, Giant Slalom, and Slalom races.
In Friday's Super G race, Kassi Real (gold), Andi Annett (silver), Sadie Anstess (bronze) swept the podium at the U12 girl's level while Lucas McMaster (gold) and Bobby Real (bronze) were on the podium in the boy's event.
Friday's second Super G race saw Maelle Acton (gold), Kassie Real (silver), and Anstess (bronze) capture medals in the girl's run with McMaster (gold), Bobby Real (silver), and Benjamin Campbell (bronze) come away with medals.
At the U16 level on Friday, Emily Bateman won silver in the first Super G race of the day for the U16 girls.
On Saturday, Anstess won a silver medal in the U12 Giant Slalom while McMaster won gold in the boy's U12 run and Campbell won bronze.
It was a clean sweep for local skiers in the U14 girl's Giant Slalom run with Elinor Bateman winning gold, Maelee Lesnick taking silver, and Cathryn Porpealia capturing bronze.
Emily Barteman won silver in the U16 girls Giant Slalom run.
On Sunday, Porpealia won silver and Lesnick won bronze in the U14 girls Slalom run while Katie Real (silver) and Miila Gordon (bronze) medaled in the U16 run.
Next up, the Searchmont Ski Runners will be hosting the U16 Ontario Cup finals at Searhmont beginning on March 18.
