For the 12th consecutive year, the Searchmont Ski Runners have captured the Inco Cup, symbolic of the Northern Ontario Alpine Ski Division team championship.

Over the weekend in Timmins at the Kamiscotia Ski Hill, the Ski Runners captured 15 medals at the 12th annual Slalom Derby.

In the K2 division for 13 and 14 year-olds, Greg Moser paced SSR with a gold, silver and a bronze medal while Matthew Horbatuk and George Payne each won a silver medal in the K1 division for 11 and 12 year-old skiers.

For the girls, K2 skier Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick returned home with two silver medals and a fourth place effort in three events.

Meghan DiAngelo won two golds and a silver in K1, Goulais River's Heidi Poldmaa won a golds and a silver while Courtney Rains won two silvers.

The event concluded the 2003-04 season for the Ski Runners.
