The Sault College Cougars play host to the St. Clair Saints Friday night at 8 p.m. in what should be another playoff-style game for both teams. Both men's basketball teams are fresh from big Ontario Colleges Athletic Association wins last week. Last Friday, Sault College upended the Lambton Lions 81-79 as Robbie Green scored 31 points, while on Saturday, St. Clair upset the first-place Niagara Knights 98-96. Niagara is in first place in the OCAA West Region with a 6-2 record, followed by the Fanshawe Falcons at 6-3, Sault College and Lambton both at 5-3, and St. Clair at 4-3. The Redeemer Royals, at 2-6, and the Algoma University Thunderbirds, at 1-9, are out of playoff contention. All teams play a 12-game regular-season schedule. Meanwhile, any spectator who brings a canned good or non-perishable product to this Friday's St. Clair/Sault College game will be admitted free of charge. All canned goods and non-perishable products will go to the Sault College food bank for students.
