The Northern Ontario Under-17 Girls basketball team rrecently returned from making a strong appearance at the Juvenile Development Program Tournament organized by Basketball Ontario.
They competed against five other regions in the province.
The team members are from Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and North Bay.
The team consisted of Erin Beange, Stephanie Colizza, Stephanie Farrell, Kathleen Thorburn, Leeann Schildroth, Kaytlyn Faucon, Martha DiGiuseppe, Katie Babcock, Kayla Kiessig, Laura Furchner, Brittany Denneny and Trish Taylor.
Coach Josh Pallot and assistant coach Danielle Marchand are both from the Sault.
