Sault Surge diving into 2024-25 season

The Sault Surge Aquatic Team is gearing up for the 2024-25 season after a great season capped by a very successful Olympics for team Canada in the pool.

All returning new swimmers can register for the new season by visiting the club's website at www.saultsurge.com. 

The season begins Monday Sept. 23 at the John Rhodes Community Centre pool.

The Surge will host the first North Eastern Ontario swim meet of the season at the Rhodes pool October 26-27 with over 200 athletes expected to gather to begin the path towards the 2028 LA Olympics.

Returning swimmers Brie Ried, Andrew Li, and  Sophia Li have all earned the qualification standards to attend the Ontario Age Group Championships in March of 2025 based upon their respective performances from last summer. Reid will be recognized by Swim Ontario as one of 12 Dan Taylor Team Aquatic Supplies Scholarship awards this weekend at the Swim Ontario and Aquatics Hall of Fame luncheon. The Dan Taylor award is awarded based upon academic and athletic excellence.
