*** COUGAR PROFILE OF THE WEEK:

Jeff Rennison

This week's Sault College profile belongs to Jeff Rennison of the Men's Basketball team.

Jeff is a four year veteran and the captain of the Cougars. As a 6-foot-3 forward, he is using his veteran experience to battle opponents in the post. He has great strength and is contributing offensively with 9.7 points per game.

He is a spirited, vocal individual who leads by example and wants nothing short of success for the team. In his graduating year Jeff has made it clear he will settle for nothing less than a second OCAA playoff appearance.

"Jeff is veteran leader who wants to win," adds head coach Thomas Cory. "He plays big at big times and can make things happen. His play in the second half will set the tempo for the guys."

Rennison has won many awards for his athletic ability and his dedication to basketball over the years. A graduate of Korah Collegiate, his high school achievement are many and during his illustrious career as a Cougar, Jeff has, and will continue to earn well deserved recognition for his outstanding efforts.

Rennison, along with the rest of the Sault College men's basketball team will be playing at home against the Niagara Knights on Saturday, December 10 at 3 p.m.

*** LAST ACTION BEFORE THE HOLIDAY BREAK:

On Saturday, December 10, the Sault College Men's Basketball team will be playing at home against the Niagara Knights (Welland) at 3 p.m.

This game will be the final regular season game before the Christmas break and they are hoping a win will put them atop of the OCAA West division standings. The Sault College men's basketball team currently holds a record of 4-2 and lost to the Knights 67-64 last month.

The Lady Cougars will also face the Knights on Saturday at 1 p.m. The women are looking to improve their current record of 1-7 and are hoping to redeem themselves after losing to the Knights 3-0 earlier in the year.
