It'll be the unbeaten St. Basil Saints and the St. Mary's Knights for the senior girls high school basketball championship on Saturday night. The Saints, who finished 12-0 during the regular season, scored a tidy 50-37 win over the White Pines Wolverines in one of two semi-final matches on Thursday. In the other semi, the Knights humbled the Sir James Dunn Eagles 47-13. St. Basil and St. Mary's will play for the senior city title in a 7:30 p.m. game at Korah on Saturday. The game will be preceded by the junior final at 6 p.m. between St. Basil and the Korah Colts. In Thursday's senior semis: Jenna Caicco hooped 15 points and Kaitlin DeBoer added 13 as St. Basil upended White Pines, which got 23 points from Amanda Evans. Lauren Pekalski hit for 13 points and Erica Deschamps, Jessica King and Roberta Reid all added eight as St. Mary's routed Sir James Dunn.
