Sabercats defeat Panthers

The Sault Sabercats have defeated the Wentworth Panthers to open the Ontario Varsity Football League season. The Sabercats defeated the Panthers 43-27 at Macrae field in Hamilton. John Mullin had three touchdown passes in the win.

The Sault Sabercats have defeated the Wentworth Panthers to open the Ontario Varsity Football League season.

The Sabercats defeated the Panthers 43-27 at Macrae field in Hamilton.

John Mullin had three touchdown passes in the win. Mullin hit Tyler Brown for a 16-yard major and a 69-yard touchdown; Jon Widgett for a 2-yard grab; and Michael Martens for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Jeff Greco ran for a pair of touchdowns from 78-yards and 80-yards to complete the Sault scoring.
