Powshik sisters bring home synchro silver

Sault Ste. Marie's own Kelly Powshik and her sister Christine Powshik just returned home from competition in Hamilton for synchronized swimming at the Masters level. The swimmers came in 2nd place for their duet at the provincial masters meet.

The swimmers came in 2nd place for their duet at the provincial masters meet.

Master swimmers are ages 19 and over. This meet had swimmers in all age categories, 18-35, 35-49, 50-64 and 65-and-over.

Coach Kelly Powshik will now continue to direct her efforts to the other Sault "Y" Synchro club members, who are preparing for Tier Championships ( Provincials ) being held in Nepean, ON., May 31- June 3, 2007.

Over 550 swimmers are expected to participate at the competition.
