OHL playoff picture is now complete

It took until the final day of the regular season but the Ontario Hockey League playoff picture is now complete.

The eastern conference scenario did not become clear until the final games were played on Sunday afternoon while the western conference matchups were decided on Saturday night.

In the east, top ranked Barrie will meet eighth seeded Brampton, second seeded Belleville takes on seventh ranked Ottawa, third place Mississauga battles sixth place Sudbury and fourth seeded Oshawa plays fifth place Kingston.

In the west, London captured the top seed and will face eighth place Owen Sound, second place Plymouth meets seventh place Guelph, third ranked Kitchener plays sixth ranked Sarnia and fourth place Saginaw battles the fifth seeded Soo Greyhounds.

The Hounds open the best-of-seven conference quarterfinal on Friday night in Saginaw. Game two goes Saturday night in Saginaw before coming to the Steelback Centre for games three and four on Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28.

Six of the eight playoff series schedules have been determined while other two will be published when they become available.
