The Soo North Stars Great North Midget League dynasty continues.

On Saturday night in Sudbury, the North Stars captured their fourth consecutive GNML and Northern Ontario Hockey Association championships with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves.

The North Stars swept the best-of-five league championship series 3-0 and finished the playoffs with a perfect 9-0 record.

Drew MacMillan emerged as the game three hero by notching the winner unassisted in the first overtime period.

Brett Thompson, Jarrett Burton and Matt Amadio also scored for the champions while Kevin Smith picked up two assists. Thomas Gravelines recorded the victory in goal.

The North Stars now move on to the Telus Cup Central Regional Playdowns in Waterloo April 1-8. More information on the tournament will be released later this week.
