No fans to cheer on Hounds live until at least Jan. 26

No spectators will be allowed into sports and entertainment venues for a period of three weeks

The Soo Greyhounds will be playing games minus the cheering fans at GFL Memorial Gardens until at least Jan 26.

The full text of the team's release follows:

The province of Ontario announced Monday morning that no spectators will be allowed into sports and entertainment venues for a period of three weeks commencing today (Jan. 5, 2022).

Unfortunately, this announcement includes Soo Greyhounds games played at the GFL Memorial Gardens between now and Jan. 26.

Season ticket holders will be provided with a credit for the games that fans are not allowed to attend.

Credit will be held in season ticket account and can be applied towards playoff tickets.

All single-game/walk-up ticket purchasers will receive a refund from the GFL Memorial Gardens box office. For all walk up tickets purchased via credit card, your refunds will be automatically processed to the card used at the time of purchase (no need to call or visit the box office).

For any tickets purchased via cash/debit, more details will come regarding the pickup dates and times for refunds.

Please see below for a list of affected games:

  • Friday, Jan. 7 vs Windsor at 7:07 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 8 vs Windsor at 7:07 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 15 vs Owen Sound at 7:07 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 16 vs Owen Sound at 2:07 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 26 vs Saginaw at 7:07 p.m.

Despite not being able to attend our games in person, there are many ways in which you can stay up to date on all of the Soo Greyhounds’ action.

The Hound Pound located on the concourse inside the GFL Memorial Gardens will be open for all fans every Friday from 12 – 4 p.m.
