Mr. Sub, Littner's Park win midget AA openers

The Mr. Sub Thumpers and Littner's Park Lions scored victories on Wednesday night as the Sault Major Hockey Association opened play in the Midget AA division. Tyler Wilson scored twice and added an assist to lead Mr. Sub past Northside Toyota 6-3.

Tyler Wilson scored twice and added an assist to lead Mr. Sub past Northside Toyota 6-3. Jonathon Bos also scored twice for the winners while Collin Kimball and Anthony Positano, who also added an assist, notched singles.

Elvis Ruck replied with a pair for Northside Toyota and Joe Griff added the other. Ryan McLean and Kyle Berry each recorded a pair of assists.

In the other contest, Jacob Vachon and Alex Brandow each scored twice as the Lions beat the Root River Rangers 5-3. Thomas Stewart also scored for Littner's Park and Mitchell Currier assisted twice.

Brad Rennision, Tyler Evoy and Sheldon St. Louis scored for the Rangers while Nathan Abelson picked up a pair of helpers.
