The Sports Gold Mosquito Selects baseball club is gearing up for their first road trip of the season.
The rep team, part of the Soo Selects Baseball Association, comprised of 10 and 11 year-old players will travel to Leamington for their first of four road trips this season.
Thus far, the Selects have had a good start to the season.
Playing in the pee wee division against 12 and 13 year-olds in the Soo Minor Baseball Association, Sports Gold has an 11-0 record.
The Selects open the Leamington Lakers Memorial Tournament against Walker Homesites AA at 6 p.m. on Friday. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, the locals face McGregor before meeting Essex at 3 p.m. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled for Sunday.
