Matt Dias Named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that forward Matt Dias of the Sudbury Wolves is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 6, 2007. Dias recorded two goals and three assists for five points in two playoff games versus the Plymouth Whalers in the Rogers Championship Series.

The 19-year-old native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario scored one goal for the Wolves on Friday, May 4, 2007 in the first game of the Rogers Championship Series. The goal was Dias’ seventh of the playoffs. The Wolves were defeated by the Whalers 4-1.

On Sunday, May 6th, Dias scored one goal and three assists for four points leading the Wolves to a 7-3 victory in Game two to draw even in the series. Dias has eight goals and eight assists for 16 points in the playoffs.
