Knights top Colts in senior high school football

The Knights will wrap up regular season play next Friday against Superior Heights while Korah has a bye week heading into the playoffs

The St. Mary’s Knights squeezed out a narrow victory over the Korah Colts in senior high school football action at Superior Heights on Friday night.

The Knights got a touchdown run from Jack McPherson and a Jaiden Trudeau catch for a major as they beat Korah 15-14, picking up a rouge as well in the win.

Touchdown runs by Jesse Burella and Ronan Provenzano completed the scoring for the Colts in the loss.

With the win, the Knights will enter the final week of the regular season with a 2-1 record while the game wrapped up regular season play for Korah, who will take a 3-1 record into the playoffs.

Friday’s junior game saw Korah improve to 5-0 with a 34-7 win over St. Mary’s.

In Thursday’s junior game, Superior Heights picked up a 50-7 win over White Pines.
