The St. Mary's Knights continue to steam roll through the competition in the senior division of the High School Football League.

On Friday night at Rocky DiPietro Field, the Knights improved to 3-0 by crushing the St. Basil Saints 54-0. St. Basil falls to 0-3.

Chris Lebel scored three touchdowns for the Knights, who led 33-0 at the half, on runs of 22, 20 and five yards. Mark Devuono a scored a pair of majors on catch and run plays of 15 and 60 yards from quarterback John Mullin, who also scrambled in for two touchdowns from 17 and 12 yards out.

Jeff Greco added another touchdown on a four yard run while Jeff Pellegrino kicked four converts and Brian Denneny added a two point convert.

Lebel finished with 162 yards rushing on 12 carries while Greco added 132 yards on nine attempts. Mullin completed nine of 13 passes for 145 yards including three to Devuono for 86 yards.

Defensively, Mark Thorburn recorded five tackles and three sacks while Pat Murray grabbed a pair of interceptions. Giancarlo Perra made four tackles, Graham Moraca an interception and Clay Tessier a fumble recovery.

For the Saints, who only rushed eight times for four yards, quarterback Andrew Allen completed 10 of 29 passes for 106 yards. Tommy Reville caught five balls for 77 yards.

Dion Marson led the defense with eight tackles while Rob Amadio added 6.5 tackles and two blocked kicks.

Week three concludes on Saturday as White Pines (1-1) meets Sir James Dunn (2-0) at Rocky DiPietro Field at 1 p.m.

In junior action on Friday afternoon, Brendan Nicholson scored two touchdowns to lead the Saints past St. Mary's 12-7. Taylor Zalewski scored the Knights touchdown while Ricky Lamon booted the convert.
