The surging Soo Greyhounds won their fourth straight game on Thursday, a 6-3 road win over the Sarnia Sting. Jeff Carter scored twice, giving him a team-leading 13 goals, and overage goalie Adam Munro made 38 saves in his 10th successive start since joining the Hounds in a five-player trade with the Erie Otters. Munro and the Hounds are 6-4 since the trade. The Hounds, now 11-17-3-1 on the season, also got goals from rookie centre Tyler Kennedy and veteran forwards Matt Herneisen, Jeff Doyle and Scott Dobben. Doyle and Dobben also came over from Erie with Munro. John Hecimovic scored twice for Sarnia, now 18-7-2-1. The Sting has lost three of its seven games to the Hounds and is now 0-3-1 against the Soo this season. More than 5,000 fans took in the game at the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre. The game was the first of a three-game road trip for the Hounds, who play in Plymouth on Saturday and Windsor on Sunday. "We're confident and we're playing well," said Hounds' head coach John Vanbiesbrouck after the game. "Munro made some big saves and we made the most of our chances. "This is a tough building to win in but our guys were focused and played another good road game."Included in the four straight wins for the Hounds are two road victories. SHARKS HIRE ZETTLER Former Greyhound defenceman Rob Zettler has been hired as an assistant coach by the NHL San Jose Sharks.
