The holiday break is about over for the Soo Greyhounds. This Sunday, the Hounds swing back into action when they play host to the Sudbury Wolves in a 6 p.m. tilt at Memorial Gardens. With a record of 14-21-3-1, the Hounds are ranked seventh in the OHL Western Conference. They have won six of their last 10 games. Second-year centre Jeff Carter leads the Hounds in scoring with 21-23-44 totals. Overage winger Matt Herneisen has been hot of late in improving his numbers to 14-17-31 while veteran defenceman Trevor Daley is also surging, with 12-15-27 totals in just 29 games. Bobby Chaumont leads the Wolves in scoring with 10 goals and 28 points followed by J.F. Seguin at 8-11-19. Sudbury is last in the Eastern Conference with a 9-26-1-1 record but won two of its three games before the break. The Wolves will not have 17-year old power forward Zach Stortini for Sunday's game. Stortini, who has six goals and 120 penalty minutes, won't return from suspension until Jan. 3.
