Trailing 4-1 at one point in the second period, the Hounds went to work in the third as Trevor Daley with his second of the game, Brad Staubitz, Matt Herneisen with the winner at 16:43, and Scott Dobben with his second of the night at 17:10, all scored to move the Soo into six place in the Western Conference of the OHL. Rookie defenceman Ryan MacKay also scored for the Hounds and Jeff Carter had four assists to boost his team-leading point totals to 20-22-42. The Hounds now have 32 points from a 14-20-3-1 record and are two points ahead of the seventh-place Guelph Storm. Guelph, which has six games in hand on the Hounds, is just 1-7-2 in its last 10 games. The new-look Hounds, on the other hand, are now 7-3 in their last 10 games. They play the Colts at Barrie tonight, their last game until after Christmas. The Hounds' win over Owen Sound spoiled one-goal, two-assist performances by Attack forwards Patrick Jarrett and Miguel Delisle. Jarrett, an 18-year old Sooite, now has 9-25-34 totals on the season. Buffalo Sabres' prospect Marty Magers, a 19-year old OHL rookie, had a rough game in goal for the Attack, stopping just 22 of 29 shots directed his way. Owen Sound has lost eight of 10 and is now 10-19-3-2 on the season. Hounds' goalie Adam Munro shrugged off a shaky start to make 31 saves in the Soo Net. Munro has started in 16 of 17 games for the Soo since being obtained in a trade with the Erie Otters and has a 9-6 record as a Hound.
