The Soo Greyhounds traded away the last of three Ontario Hockey League veterans who were cut the end of training camp.
On Tuesday, the Hounds shipped Brett Connolly to the Mississauga Ice Dogs for a seventh round selection in the 2005 OHL draft.
Connolly, a former first round draft pick of the Sudbury Wolves, has never been able to find his stride in the OHL. After acquiring Connolly from the Wolves last October, the forward posted two goals and six assists in 41 games with the Hounds.
Earlier, the Hounds traded defenseman Mike Looby to the Plymouth Whalers while Aaron Lewicki was moved to the Barrie Colts.
The Greyhounds, winless at 0-4 on the young season, begin a three-game home stretch on Wednesday night against the Sarnia Sting at 7 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
On Friday, the Brampton Battalion visit in a 7:30 p.m. start while the London Knights are in town on Sunday at 7 p.m.
