GRRROWL wins Thanksgiving tourney

The boys and girls of the Water Tower Inn GRRROWL battled it out this weekend in the under 8, Suburban Ice – Macomb Stampede Thanksgiving Day tournament in Macomb Michigan.

The GRRROWL, a novice major team with the Soo Pee Wee Hockey League, swept their division with an 11 – 3 victory over the Macomb Mustangs, a win in a 4- 3 battle with the Rochester Vipers who suffered their first loss of the season and a 7-0 shutout against the Rochester Racers.

The GRRROWL met the Troy Blackhawk's in the Championship game Sunday and skated hard to bring home the victory with a final score of 6-4 for the GRRROWL.
