The Soo Greyhounds announced this afternoon that video analyst and director of analytics Ryan Dumoulin has accepted a position with the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.

Dumoulin will join the Reign as video coach and team services specialist.

The California-based team is the top affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings.

“Ryan's talent has not gone unnoticed, and it was only a matter of time before professional organizations took interest," Greyhounds general manager Kyle Raftis said in a release. "The growth in his development since he joined the staff combined with his significant contribution to our team mirrors that of any dedicated player, and we're thrilled to watch him ascend to new heights in his career, reaping the rewards of his dedication and hard work."

The 26-year-old Dumoulin joined the Greyhounds in August of 2021 and spent three seasons with the franchise.

In a statement, Dumoulin thanked the Greyhounds ownership, management, coaching and support staff "for always making the rink a fun place to be for staff and players alike."

"I'm proud to say I had the opportunity to work in such a great hockey city and hockey program," Dumoulin added.

Prior to joining the Greyhounds, Dumoulin served as assistant general manager and director of video analytics for the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League's Cochrane Crunch and as an analytics and video intern with the Western Hockey League's Regina Pats.
