SOO GREYHOUNDS HOCKEY CLUB

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is pleased and honoured to announce that their 2020 Hockey Fights Cancer game night, presented by Northside Auto Group, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8 when they host the Niagara Ice Dogs at 7:07 p.m.
This year’s event will be the 10th consecutive year the club has held the game day initiative in support of local not-for-profits and charities that provide necessary resources for individuals who are fighting cancer and families providing support as caregivers. For the 2020 event, the Greyhounds will be donating funds raised at this year’s event to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Pharmacy IV room upgrade and the Elks oncology van.
Fans can contribute to the Hockey Fights Cancer event a number of ways:
- Blind auction of the Hounds game-worn, limited edition, jerseys from the Feb. 8 game. In-arena auction begins on Wednesday, Feb. 5 (vs Kitchener Rangers) and will be open again on Friday, Feb. 7 (vs Guelph Storm) and on Saturday, Feb. 8 until the conclusion of the first Intermission. Online bidding is available on the event page located under the 'Game Day' tab of soogreyhounds.com. Online bidding will open on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and will close on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. No bids will be posted, therefore it is recommended that fans submit their largest bid for the best chance to win. Each winner will have the opportunity to go on the ice at the conclusion of the game where the player will present and autograph the jersey for the winner.
- Limited special edition Hockey Fights Cancer T-shirts will be available at the Hound Pound starting Feb. 5. $5 from every t-shirt will go towards the fundraising campaign.
