Friday's Vetrie Tournament results

The Annual Guy Vetrie Invitational Basketball Tournament will be decided on Saturday night on the hardwood at Korah.

On Friday, the 16 senior high school boys entries concluded their three-game round robin schedule.

The Korah Colts and the St. Basil Saints are the local teams that remain in contention for the championship.

After getting into the playoffs after second place finishes, the Colts will now face London Beal in one quarterfinal at Korah while the Saints meet Toronto Academy Prep School at Sir James Dunn. Game times are 9 a.m.

In the other quarterfinals, Toronto's Father Henry Carr meets Timmins High at Korah while the Sudbury Lasalle Lancers face Brampton's Humberview at SJD. Game times are 11 a.m.

The winners meet in the 3 p.m. semi-finals at both schools. The 9 a.m. winners will play at Korah with the other contest scheduled for SJD.

From there, the winners meet for the championship at 7:30 p.m. at Korah while the losers meet for the bronze medal at 5:30 p.m.
