Fratesi Set To Race in Athens

Early Thursday morning, one of the Sault’s own will make her first appearance at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens. Local swimmer Jennifer Fratesi will swim her first race on Thursday morning in Greece.

Fratesi, who is competing in the 200-metre Backstroke, and 4x100-metre Medley Relay events in Athens, will see her first action when the Women’s 200-metre Backstroke heats begin at 4:49 a.m. Eastern time. The heats will be a part of TSN’s live coverage of the Olympics. Coverage begins at 1:30 a.m. Eastern. The semi-final races for the Women’s 200-metre backstroke will also take place on Thursday while the finals will be run on Friday.

The next event in place for Fratesi will be the 4x100-metre Medley Relay, which will take place on Friday. The heats will also be televised on TSN as the network will again air the heats as part of their live early morning coverage. The heats are scheduled to begin at 5:06 a.m. Eastern time. The finals for the relay will be aired on TSN just after 1 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday.
