Eagles, Colts tie one on

The Korah Colts and Sir James Dunn Eagles provided an entertaining start to the second week of local high school football action.

Jordan Morin scored a touchdown with 1:04 remaining to lift the Colts into a 28-28 tie with the Eagles on Friday night in senior division at Rocky DiPietro Field.

Morin also added a touchdown run of 10 yards while Jon Day scored on runs of 12 and two yards for the Colts.

Kofi Osei paced the Eagles attack with touchdown runs of 39 and 26 yards while Peter McGonegal broke a 43 yard run for a major and Nigel Milne powered in a three yard run.

Action continues on Friday as White Pines visits St. Mary's. Junior action begins at 4:15 p.m. at St. Mary's while the senior contest begins at 7:30 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field.

*** JUNIOR:

In the junior division on Thursday, Kyle Leonard and Ben Ginter scored touchdowns to lead Korah past the Eagles 12-7. Geoff Gieni replied with a touchdown for SJD.
