Dutchak takes provincial synchro bronze

Sault Ste. Marie's only synchronized swim club, have just returned from Ottawa, where they represented our city in the Provincial Tier Championships. Over 550 swimmers from across the province attended.

Over 550 swimmers from across the province attended.

Meagan Dutchak, tier 6 soloist placed 3rd in the province.

The Tier 3 team, finished in 14th. Team members include: Dominque Valiquette, Logan Clark, Samantha Servant, Danica Desjardins, Katrina Lynch, Sarah Gaines, Taylor Thorkilson and Martina Brlecic.

All swimmers are coached by Dianna Spear and Kelly Powshik.

The competitive swimmers along with the recreational club at the YMCA will be presenting a display at the YMCA pool on Thursday June 14 at 6 pm.

There is no charge and the public is invited to come and watch and support our local athletes. Swimmers interested in joining the synchronized swim program are encouraged to attend and speak with any of the club members for additional information.
