Fancy some stretchy* Soo Greyhounds capris, or a form-fitting jacket with a big red Hounds logo smack-dab in the middle of your chest?
Do not be tempted, says the team.
The Soo Greyhounds issued a warning to fans today over merchandise being offered by an 'illegitimate' OHL store offering items that the Hounds say break 'multiple copyright and infringement laws'.
"We are working to resolve this ASAP," says a post to the local Ontario Hockey League team's Facebook page, which also warns potential purchasers about the security of their information.
Teams across the league have posted similar notes to fans.
While one Facebook user noted that the Hounds jackets look 'pretty dope', Consumer Protection Ontario advises that counterfeit goods are lower quality than legit items and "can even be dangerous because they aren't tested for safety."
The links appearing in the photos shared by the Greyhounds are no longer active and SooToday was unable to find any actual bogus listings.
