LONDON -- The men's basketball team at Sault College has fallen out of first place. The Cougars fell 72-67 to the Fanshawe Falcons here Friday. Both Sault College and Fanshawe College are now 4-3 and tied for second in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association West Region. Robbie Green had an 18-point game in defeat for Sault College, which got 15 points from Sean Seivwright and 12 from Ray Henry. By virtue of a two-point win over the St. Clair Saints on Friday, the Niagara Knights are now first in the West Region with a 4-1 record. In women's play here Friday, Fanshawe upended Sault College 81-38. Erica Nethery, Melissa Sawyer and Tara Smith all had six points for the Cougars, while Cara Russon led the way for the Sault women in the rebounding department with seven. In women's volleyball play, Fanshawe upended Sault College three games to two, taking the deciding match by a 15-13 score.
