Colts win bronze in London

The Korah Colts senior girls basketball team captured the bronze medal in the consolation championship at the annual Fanshawe Falcons Basketball tournament in London over the weekend.

The Korah Colts senior girls basketball team captured the bronze medal in the consolation championship at the annual Fanshawe Falcons Basketball tournament in London over the weekend.

After losing the opening game to the eventual tournament champion St. Clair Colts, from Sarnia, the Korah Colts went on to win three consecutive games.

In the loss to St. Clair, Sara Levesque hit for 10 points while Brittany Hogan and Kayla Odorizzi chipped in with 5 each. The Colts then defeated Etobicoke 70-66. Sara Levesque had 17, while Jessica Bauer hit for 14, and Laura Clement added 6.

In the consolation championship game Korah was victorious against David and Mary Thompson from Scarbourough by a score of 46-39. Sara Levesque had 12, and Brittany Hogan and Kaitlyn Train added 11 and 9 points, respectively.

A special congratulations also goes out to Brittany Hogan for being selected to the tournament all star team.
